Welcome to the St. Joseph High School Counseling Center!
Our counseling team is dedicated to supporting every student’s academic, personal, social, and college/career development throughout their high school journey. We believe that strong partnerships among students, families, counselors, teachers, and the community help create a positive and successful educational experience.
Alyson Chavez serves as the counselor for 11th and 12th grade students. She works closely with juniors and seniors as they prepare for graduation, explore college and career opportunities, navigate the application process, and achieve their post-secondary goals.
Dayna Bennett serves as the counselor for 9th and 10th grade students. She helps freshmen and sophomores build a strong academic foundation, develop effective study habits, explore interests and future pathways, and successfully transition through the early years of high school.
Our counselors are committed to providing guidance, encouragement, and resources to help every student reach their full potential. We encourage students and families to explore both this website for information and the student’s grade based “Academic Advising” course in CANVAS to find resources about academic planning, college and career readiness, scholarships, social-emotional support, and important school resources.
If parents aren’t already observing their student on CANVAS, please see the detailed directions on how do to so HERE.
We look forward to partnering with you throughout your high school experience!
