School Mass

Weekly Mass

Attending weekly Mass during high school is crucial for spiritual and personal development. It offers a consistent opportunity to connect with one’s faith, offering a moment of reflection during the busy and sometimes stressful high school years. This, regularly practiced, helps reinforce values such as compassion, humility, and forgiveness which are vital during the formative teenage years. Mass fosters a sense of community, allowing students to build supportive relationships with peers who share similar beliefs. By prioritizing weekly Mass, high school students can strengthen their moral foundation, guiding them to make thoughtful and ethical decisions both inside and outside the classroom. Through the year, we have many special celebrations and recognitions we honor during Mass. August 28th, we are honored to have Bishop Szkredka coming to give a personal blessing. It is a privilege to have such an inspiring person on our campus. November 20th, the junior ring mass hosted at St. Louis De Montfort Church is dedicated to the junior class where student receive their rings which signify their unity as a class. December 2nd, our Founders Mass remembers and reflect on the life of the Josephite Founder, Constant Van Crombrugghe. December 9th, as part of the St. Joseph tradition we honor the mothers and mother-figures of our senior class. This also celebrates the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. January 27th, we begin Catholic School’s Week with Mass. We host different opportunities for students to reflect on the gift of a Catholic education and show appreciation towards our teachers throughout the week. March 5th, we begin Lent with Ash Wednesday Mass. Ash Wednesday is a day which begins the season of fasting, prayer and almsgiving. March 19th, we continue the St. Joseph tradition of honoring the fathers and father-figures of our senior class. We also celebrate St. Joseph our patron on this day. May 19th, the Spirit of St. Joseph Mass celebrates our school’s saint by recognizing the incredible work of our alumni.
